When are you most active? How many hours can you provide to CactusMC in a week?
I am most active during the weekends since I have no Distance Learning school work to do at home. During the weekdays though, I have to work on Distance Learning school online, which can take upwards of 3 hours a day and requires my full attention. Besides my hours per day would look like

Monday-Friday: 3-5 Hours during the day (After 12am) & 4-5 at night (After 10pm into the next day)

Saturday-Sunday: 5-7 Hours during the day (After 12am) & 4-5 at night (After 10pm into the next day)

The hours listed above are a rough estimate, and I can of course adjust my schedule and be online at anytime if my Discord is spammed enough. A week I can provide upwards of 40+ hours on CactusMC.

What server(s) are you the most active on? What is it about that particular gamemode that keeps you interested?
I am currently playing TheArchon Factions since I have a prior rank on it. I was playing BreachPvP Yellow & Red factions until the server rebranded. I use to play on Saicopvp where me and my faction went tryhard on Witch Realm. The Faction is still around today, though I no longer play. I also play on Hypixel and other servers with mini-games where I can play with other friends. On all these servers I see different players hacking, and using all sorts of cheats to get an advantage in game, through this I am able to understand what to look for in hackers. BreachPvP was a server I was also actively playing on, and I understand how all server functions. I love competitive gamemodes, like Factions and I always find myself playing it more and more, and learning something new every time. Players can work together for a common goal, and defeat their enemies. Factions is also always changing, with new ideas, strategies and things to do. Similar to a staff group, a faction works together and start to see each other's strengths and weaknesses. By doing this, a faction can build off each other, and grow stronger together.

Have you ever been banned on CactusMC? If so, why should this not affect your chances?
I haven't been banned on CactusMC before. I have never installed any hack client to my PC. It is really annoying and demotivating when you are being hacked on, and I wouldn't want another player to feel the same way. CactusMC is a server that has a bright future, and I would like to maintain it's status of hacker free.

How do you feel that you would make a contribution to CactusMC with the position you're applying for?
I have been playing Minecraft for 7 years now. I understand the frustration that players feel not having an active staff member to get help from when they are being hacked on. I also have bounced around servers and understand how different plugins and commands work from faction server to faction server. I've seen many different types of hacks, and can find people trying to exploit glitches and cheat on the server. I also feel like my experience can be beneficial to making CactusMC a better server and grow the player base even larger. I understand the rules and can help new players fit into the server. With the CactusMC rebrand, I want to an example for the server and maintain good relations with the players.

Why should we choose you over any other applicant?
I understand how this server works and I have been playing on it for 2 years now. I understand the ambitions and goals for this server, and the message that the owner is putting out through the rebrand. CactusMC can be a great server, but they need to start with some great staff. I've seen seen countless mistakes made by staff members, along with many great calls by staff members, and through this experience, I've been able to learn and better develop my opinion on situations. In the past on BreachPvP, new players would log onto the server and have no idea what to do. I would help these players out, and explain basic things about the server. By doing this, these players had a higher chance of coming back, and playing on the server.

Name a mistake you made during your time here on CactusMC. How did you fix that mistake? What did you learn from it?
One of my mistakes that I made on my time here on CactusMC was finding a duping glitch. I found a VPN glitch which allowed Epic Crates to be duplicated. I tried it a bit and it really did nothing to help me, it took way to much time and the keys weren't good. I told a staff member about it that day, and around 1 month later, I found you could no longer log in on a VPN. I learnt that its better to explain the problem to a staff member, then risk hiding anything and getting in trouble. (P.S. I never told any other faction players about this VPN glitch). Glitches and exploits should be reported to a staff member at once, since there is a chance it could really do damage to the servers economy.

Tell us your previous server moderation experience, with proof if applicable. If you lack previous experience, why should this not greatly affect your chances as a potential staff member?
I don't have much server moderation experience but I don't think this shouldn't greatly affect my chances. I've been playing on the server for 2 years now and I understand how the server works. I've seen staff members handle things wrong, and seen staff members handle things right. I've been able to see the patterns where staff members make a mistake, and I will work hard to not make the same errors. I think that bad staff members are a result of poor advice and judgement by higher staff members where they are unable to really gain any server moderation experience, that will be beneficial to the next server they join. Factions is known for having lousy staff members, and I want to be an opposite, and set an example for future staff members on the rebranded BreachPvP. I've experienced a lot chat abuse, hackers, expoilters, etc on servers I've played on.

Tell us your greatest strengths. How would these help you during your time staffing, if accepted?
I think my greatest strength is understanding every situation and paying attention to little details. I can speak to players and understand what they want from the server, or what problems they have. If accepted, I can help in tough situations where players need punishment (aggressive chat behavior or serious situations). My experience in real life can help me during my time staffing, if accepted. If you can understand both sides of a situation, you have a higher chance of solving the problem in a effective way. My ability to stay calm and composed in times of chaos and stress would be helpful on a staff team.

What about your greatest weaknesses? How do you get past them?
I really don't think I have a weaknesses that affect my ability staffing. The only thing is the current situation we are all in (COVID-19), can lead to worst case scenario and could cause my availability to change. Of course though, that would be communicated ahead of time. The reason I think I don't have a weaknesses is not because I think I am perfect, rather I have seen the weaknesses of other staff members from all different servers. Overtime, I have learnt from these staff members weaknesses, and made them my strengths.

Are you active on our Discord server?
Yes, I have been using Discord for 3 years and I understand how it works, and I also have it open on my computer. (I also have the app with notifications enabled, my girlfriend gets pissed from all the notifications). Since I have Discord on my phone, I can join a call, or help moderate the Discord at anytime of the day. If my Discord is spammed enough while I'm sleeping, I'll wake up and get on.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I want to begin my staffing career on one of my favorite factions servers. I see a lot of potential with this server, and I think I could help the server grow larger and larger. I have always wanted to be a staff member on a server, and this would really motivate me to work harder on the server, if I was accepted. I am going to be spending a lot of time on CactusMC playing Factions anyway, and I'm going into my 3rd year of playing. I feel like I have enough server experience to start the beginning of a staffing career on CactusMC. I am greatly excited to see what happens with this server, and I'd love to see it grow on a new staff team.

(I just saw Spring Break is beginning for me on the 10th of April until the 19th of April, meaning I can spend all day on CactusMC during the release week, helping new players understand the server, explain new features and provide assistance to other staff members if needed.)

    Hello Landon!

I like your application but I believe you can potentially do more with it. For starters you could add more information throughout the whole application & can make it easier to read by using a more blatant color for the text but some color is still nice. You can also make the application overall more spaced out and focus on how to make it easier to read.
    Good Luck!
